Our testing Deep Dive Blood Anaysis we offer is way more comprehensive and includes cholesterol balance which shows plant sterols now being implicated in APO E4 brain tangles.
Deep Dive Blood Analysis includes all the tests Functional does but also includes a comprehensive plan and direct recommendations.
Yes, plant sterols and their implications for hyperabsorbers are real issues that are often completely overlooked. For years, I thought I was doing myself a favor by eating lots of flax, nuts, and seeds, only to discover through my Boston Heart Lipid Profile that I am a hyperabsorber. By the way, your website link doesn’t appear to work - I’m unable to view the Deep Dive Blood Analysis details or place an order.
Hi! Can you further explain the implications of plant sterols in these comments? Thanks!
Do you have a list anywhere of where you personally like to see all of the values on function health bloodwork? I have done this bloodwork and am a apoe 4/4 with my father having onset at 60. Thanks!
sorry - just got on my laptop and see I didn't answer your question completely. (am in Europe this week and mostly only checking messages on my mobile). As for the values on Function Health, they reflect standard lab ranges labeled as “normal” - which are often far from optimal. I use www.labclarity.org to interpret my labs. It provides optimal ranges and, even more helpful, highlights patterns across related markers.
it includes all the markers in CBC, CMP, ANA Antibodies, Rheumatoid Factor, Lead, Mercury, Detailed Lipids including ApoB, HDL Large, C-Reactive Protein, LDL Pattern, Particle number, peak size, small, Total, Lp(a),Triglycerides, Hormone Detail (male/female as applicable) DHEA, Prolactin, A1C, Insulin, Uric Acid, AA/EPA ratio, Ferritin,Homocysteine, Iron, (Ttotal, Saturation & Binding), Magnesium, MMA, Omega 6/3 ratio, Omega 3 Total, DHA, DPA, DHA, Omega 6/AA, Omega 6/ Linoleic Acid, Vitamin D, Zinc, Cortisol, Thyroid Antibodies, TgAb & TPO, TSH, Free T4, Free T3, It also includes urine test: bacteria, leucocytes, nitrite, bilirubin, glucose, ketones protein. For the price, it's very comprehensive. There are add-ons you can order for extra. Downside is, results just tell you "in range" or not. That's where I refer to the LabClarity site to see where my targets are and what how numbers relate to each other. It's about 130 markers without any add-ons.
This is so helpful. Thank you! I’m in the UK and I’ve looked into the booking this test when I’m in the US but you have to be a resident. So now I have this I can try and find an equivalent over here. Thank you!! 🙏
you likely only have to be a resident so they know which lab location to send the blood draw instructions to. If you have friend/relative here, just use their address if you will be visiting them. I'm from Britain originally so I know about the more limited testing/access there are well as Europe, in general.

Perfect. Thank you!
Function Health does not measure plant sterols. Only test I know for that is Boston Heart.
It’s hard to say which is better because it didn’t list what it is testing for, if you know what it tests for can you forward us the list here?
Karin, can you possibly let us know what the functional blood test covers? I can’t find a comprehensive list on their website..
